Trestle Viaduct, south of Pulborough

This viaduct carries the Arun Valley Line across meadow land south of Pulborough. Pulborough railway bridge crosses the River Arun a short distance to the north.
The line opened in 1863.
See Geograph entry.
Wrought iron or steel plate girders are supported by five sets of cast iron trestles.
Similar cast iron trestles can be seen on the Timberley Viaduct and on several bridges on the Lewes and Uckfield Railway
