1886 The closure of the shipyard was reported.[1] 23 vessels had been built there in the period between 1867 and 1886.[2]It was announced that the shipyards and graving docks at Troon Harbour has been let for a term of years to Messrs McCredie and Wallace, with the intention of extending the premises and adapting them for iron shipbuilding.[3]
