Contents: 1) Joseph Turney Wood (stepson of Charles Julius Avery Crawley of Wellington Terr., Arundel St., Nottingham, schoolmaster) aged 15 years. 2) John Turney of Trent Bridge Works, Nottingham, leather dresser, of 'Turney Brothers' [uncle of (1)]. Until 3 Feb. 1886, (1)'s 21st birthday. Consideration: 'faithful services of the said Apprentice'. [1]

1888 The company was registered on 18 April, to take over the business of leather manufacturers of the firm of the same name. [2]
