1700s Towards the end of the eighteenth century Richard Vandome became the principal.
1840 His two nephews William Titford and Richard Vandome Titford acceded to the firm.
c.1850 Maker of coin balance and weights[1]
1885 Purchased the business of William Williams and Sons of Cannon Street.
1904 Incorporated as a limited company.
1914 Scale and weighing machine manufacturers. Specialities: bankers' scales, scales for tea tasters, wrought iron weighing machines for docks and wharves, large beam scales. Bankers' scales was a prominent feature; the company made scales for the Bank of England and H. M. Customs for over two hundred years. [2]
c.1922 Merged with David Hart and Co to become Vandome and Hart.
