1956 The Establishment, at Brooklands Road, Weybridge, was advertising for physicists, engineers, mathematicians, chemists, designers, draughtsmen and laboratory craftsmen.[1]

By 1963 the Vicker Group Research Establishment was located at Sunninghill; it had developed breathing apparatus for firefighters and hyperbaric oxygen chambers for babies and adults; the hyperbaric oxygen chambers were manufactured at the Itchen Works, Southampton[2]

1964 Had developed linear accelerators which were in production at the Radiation Division at South Marston[3]

1967 Studies included lubrication of axial piston pumps and motors, electron beam welding and analysis of inclusion in steel; these were approaching the point at which manufacture of equipment could be considered. Also working on methods of storing human tissue[4]
