1886 Born in High Barnet, son of Walter and Helen Drayson

1904 Entered University of London; worked at J. Tylor and Sons during holidays

1906 Represented J Tylor and Sons in Australia

1907 In London

1908 In charge of motor department. Designed petrol engines for commercial and marine work, especialy for lifeboats.

1910 Put in charge of water meter department as well.

1911 Associate member of I Mech E. Manager of motor and water meter department, J. Tylor and Sons Ltd.

1912 Moved to the Commercial and Marine Engine Co, who then made Drayson marine engines.

1916 of the Commercial and Marine Engine Co
