1896 Description and illustrations of a hydraulic crane constructed W. Hindson and Co., Gateshead-on-Tyne, for lifting logs from the river at the timber yard of Thompson, Pattrick, and Woodwark. The water supply for working the crane was obtained from the mains of the King's Lynn Dock and Railway Co, and was passed through a high-pressure meter fixed near the base of the crane.[1]
