1964 Obituary[1]

"It is with regret that we note the death of Mr W. V. Hodgson, deputy managing director of Wickman Ltd., on November 20th at the age of sixty-three years. Mr Hodgson joined the company in 1947 as London manager. He soon after became chief sales engineer and in 1949 he became general manager of the Machine Tool Division. He was appointed a director on the main Wickman Ltd. board in 1953, and made deputy managing director in 1956. In 1962 he became managing director of the newly formed subsidiary, Wickman Machine Tool Sales Ltd., and deputy chairman of Wickman Machine Tool Manufacturing Company Ltd. His other directorships included Wickman Scrivener Ltd., John Stirk and Sons Ltd., and John Lang and Sons Ltd. Mr Hodgson was a member of the Institution of Production Engineers, a Council Member of the Machine Tool Trades Association and of the Board of Trade Exports Sub-Committee of the Machine Advisory Council."
