Established in 1861 by George Walker. Partnership Successions: (1) George Walker and Son; (2) Walker's Tanneries, Ltd.; Incorporated as a private Limited Company in 1907.

1914 Directors: John Walker (Governing Director), John Walker (,jun.) and Frank Walker. Branch: Eggleseliffe Tannery, Yarm. Specialities: Tanning of pure Oakbark tanned Shaved and Dressing Hides, Currying of Black and Brown Harness and Bridle Leathers.
