c1851 Born the son of Jonathan Ashworth, of Ashworth Mill, Ashworth.[1]

1901 Living at 372 Edenfield Road, Norden: Walter Ashworth (age 50 born Bury), Traveller (Commercial). With his wife Sarah Ashworth (age 49 born Birtle), Dressmaker, and their two children Robt Chadwick Ashworth (age 19 born Heap, Lancs), Traveller (Commercial) and Cassie Ashworth (age 8 born Heywood). Also his Mother-in-Law Sarah Chadwick (age 79 born Norden).[2]

1911 Living at 1 John Street, Norden, Rochdale: Walter Ashworth (age 60 born Bury), Commercial Traveller - Engineering. With his wife Sarah Ashworth (age 59 born Birtle) and their adopted daughter Cassie Harriet Ashworth (age 18 born Heywood), Ring Spinner. Married 33 years with two children of whom one is living. [3]

1923 June 24th. Died. Buried at Saint James Churchyard, Ashworth, Heywood.

1924 Probate. Walter Ashworth of 1 John Street, Norden. Probate to Robert Chadwick Ashworth, manufacturer.
