1972 Walter Cutters and Grinders Limited was incorporated 9th May.[1] It was the U.K. subsidiary of the German Walter group of companies.[2]

1974 Introduced an indexable insert face milling cutter (model number Alunvex F250) for the fast finishing of aluminium and other light alloy components.
