Also known as the "Putney & Clapham Extension" or the "Wandsworth Storm Relief Sewer Aqueduct".

Designed by Joseph Bazalgette and built 1882-85

See The Engineer 1886/04/02 for a description of the system, entitled 'Sewerage of Clapham, Battersea, Wandsworth and Putney'. It was constructed by the Metropolitan Board of Works. John Waddell was the main contractor, under Sir Joseph Bazalgette, as Engineer.
