'...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, Henry Jenkinson (as sole acting executor under the will of Edward Ward, de-ceased), and Ann Payne (as sole executrix under the will of her late husband, Henry Payne, deceased), carrying on business together at Sheffield, in the county of York, as Edge Tool Manufacturers and Merchants, under the style or firm of Ward and Payne, was dissolved by mutual consent on and from the 6th day of December last; and that the said business will henceforth be carried on by David Ward, of Sheffield aforesaid, Edge Tool Manufacturer and Merchant (the only son of the said Edward Ward, deceased), and the said Ann Payne, in partnership together under the said style or firm of Ward and Payne...'[1]
