1806 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership carried on by David Ward and Francis Pearson, of Sheffield, in the County of York, Edge-Tool-Makers, was dissolved on the 9th Day of July last. All Debts due to and owing from the said Copartnership will be received and paid by the said David Ward, who continues the Business on his own Account...'[1]

Note: This is probably David Ward (1767-1822) the father of Edward Ward, a Toolmaker, who in turn was the father of David Ward (1834-1889)
