1825 Listed as engravers to calico printers[1]

1824 'TWENTY POUNDS REWARD.
RUN-AWAY APPRENTICES.—Some persons having enticed, from the employ of Weatherby and Patterson, of Manchester. Engravers to Calico Printers, Two Apprentices viz. JOHN GORING and HORATIO SMITH:— Whoever will give information of the persons enticing them away, will receive the above reward, on conviction of the Offenders.
The Apprentices will be forgiven, and receive the above reward on immediately retuning to their employ and giving such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offenders.— Any person harbouring or employing the said Apprentices after this notice, will bedealt with according to law.'[2]
