Western Gas Light Co

1845 The Western Gas Light Co. was set up as a statutory company. The works was situated at Ladbroke Grove, in Kensal Green, between the Regents Canal and the railway.

1850 Alexander Wright was appointed Engineer to the company

1860s One of 13 gas companies supplying gas in London[1]

1862 The works were located on the Regent's Canal[2]

1872 After the passing of the City Gas Act, the Gas Light and Coke Co amalgamated with the Western Gas Light Co[3]
