Wheal Agar Mine is in the parish of Illogan, union of Redruth, hundred of Penwith, Cornwall, and mining district of Illogan; it is situated 11 miles from the town of Redruth, and is bounded on the north by North Pool, south by East Pool, east by South Tolgus, west by East Crofty, or in the centre of rich and productive mines.
