1895 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned William Augustus Beney and Henry William Robert Child carrying on business as Merchants and Manufacturers at 62 and 63 Queen-street Cheapside in the city of London and elsewhere under the style or firm of White Child and Beney was dissolved as and from the 80th day of June 1895, by mutual consent...'[1]

1924 At the British Empire Exhibition, they exhibited accessories for textile machines made by firms they represent in London.

1979 Clare, the engineering side, manufacturers of the famous Claretainers and supermarket trolleys, were taken over by White. Child and Beney.[2] Clare were part of Clare, Son and Co.[3]

1979 Attempt too acquire them from Arthur Guiness who already have a stake in the business.[4]
