of Brook Street Iron Works, Derby

Iron and brass founders, makers of a variety of machines. [1]

c.1872 Asked Henry Davey to join them but he declined. Abells set up Sun Foundry works for Davey in Leeds.

c.1906 Single cylinder steam engine for Derby Malt Vinegar Co. Removed to Derby Industrial Museum in 1986.[2]
