William Albert Padfield (c1845-1924), Secretary of the Exeter Gas Works

Born at Oakhill, Bath.

1924 Died. 'The death at Exeter yesterday of W. A. Padfield, for 30 years engineer and manager Exeter Gas Co and a prominent figure in the gas world. He became a member of the board of directors on his retirement in 1909, and retained interest in the company to the last. He was also a director the Devon and Exeter Hotel Co, and was connected with several other undertakings and further afield.[1]
