Continued to work with Mr Lindsay on various navigation works, particularly on the River Cart, including a dockyard for Fleming and Ferguson of Paisley.
1895 Associate member of the Inst Civil Engineers[2]

1899 Engineer on construction of Paisley and Barrhead District Railway
1900-04 Resident Engineer New Leith Lines
1904-23 Assistant in Land and Parliamentary work
1923-30 Parl. Asst. to Div. Eng. L.M.S.
1926 Divisional Engineer's Office, L.M.S. Railway, Buchanan St Station, Glasgow
1930 Retired.
