William Alexander Madocks

From Graces Guide

William Alexander Madocks (1773-1828), was a British politician and landowner who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for the borough of Boston. Built the Cob and railway (see Festiniog Railway) at the town is now named after him as Porthmadog. He was assisted by the surveyor and civil engineer James Creassy.
