1925 William Baird and Son Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £40,000, to acquire and take over as a going concern the business of William Baird & Son, engineers and bridge builders, Temple Iron Works, Anniesland, Glasgow.[1]

1981 The company went into liquidation.[2]

Records of the company, 1881-1980, are held by Glasgow University.[3]
