William Ball (1804-1877) of William Ball and Son
Born in Ireland
1877 March 20th. Died. 'Tuesday night Mr. William Ball, the leading partner the celebrated firm of William Ball and Sons, agricultural implement makers, and also the senior churchwarden of the parish, died, after brief illness. The deceased gentleman was highly respected, and he will be greatly missed in the town for a long time to come.'[1]
1877 Probate to his brother George Ball of North Kilworth, Implement Manufacturer; and to his sons William Ball and Henry Ball, Agricultural Implement Manufacturers; also Joseph Ginns, a Stationer.
