1900 William Cumming and Company Limited was registered, with capital of £75,000, to acquire the businesses of manufacturers of moulders' blacking carried on at Kelvinvale Mills, Maryhill, Glasgow; at Sunnyside, Falkirk; and at Chesterfield, Derbyshire.[1]

1966 Company taken over by James Durrans and Sons Limited of Sheffield.

1979 Company dissolved.
