1877 Built Yeoford School.[1]

1881 'The parish-churches of Crediton and South Tawton are being restored by Mr. William Dart, builder, of Crediton'[2]

1889 Re-built the Theatre Royal, Exeter after it was destroyed by fire.

1904 Died. 'Mr. William Dart, who has just passed away, was one of the leading tradesmen in the town, and was highly respected everyone. He had carried the trade of a builder for a great many years, and made a high name for himself, especially for his ecclesiastical work, which was greatly admired. As a contractor, he was known through the West of England. A very large employer, his loss will much felt Mr. Dart was a member of the Urban District Council and had been the Chairman of that body. Although a Conservative, he never tried to influence anyone, and subscribed towards Mr. Lambert's wedding present with others of this town. Mr. Dart was about 72 years old, and leaves a widow, one son (Mr. W. H. Dart, of Paignton), and four daughters, to mourn their great loss. They have the sympathy not only the town, but of everyone who know Mr. Dart.'[3]
