William George Clissold (c1839-1914) of the Nailsworth Brewery Co

1914 Died. 'Early on Wednesday morning the death occurred at his residence, Chestnut Hill, of Mr. W. G. Clissold, J.P., at the age of 75 years. The deceased was the head of the old Nailsworth Brewery Co., which is now merged into the Cheltenham Original Brewery Co., of which Mr. Clissold was a director. He was the representative of the Nailsworth Division on the Gloucestershire County Council for very many years, and had long held the position of chairman of the Urban Council. He was also a magistrate for the county and was a frequent occupant of the bench at Nailsworth. was of very genial temperament, and good specimen of the sturdy Englishman. Deceased who was a widower, leaves several adult children with whom the deepest sympathy is felt.'[1]
