1896 Obituary [1]

WILLIAM GEORGE DOWDEN died at his residence, Park House, Blaenavon, Monmouthshire, on November 19, 1896, at the age of forty-seven. He was manager of the Blaenavon Works, and had held that position for four and a half years, having succeeded the late Mr. John Worton.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1894.
