In 1952 George Watkins photographed a beam engine at the Aldridge Works of the Aldridge Brick and Tile Co. He identified the maker as William Harvey and Co of Wolverhampton. Cylinder 30" bore, 5 ft stroke.[1]. The connecting rod was made of wood, with iron bracing.
