William Henry Clack was born in 1884 and served his apprenticeship with Wolseley and Fraser and Chalmers.
His subsequent career was devoted entirely to the garage and repair side of the business, and for many years prior to his death he was the proprietor of a repair business at Clapton.
He died on 18th July, 1931, at the age of 47.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1925.

William Henry Clack received his early training at the Pangbourne Motor Works, and subsequently in the shops of the Wolseley Tool and Motor Car Co. and Fraser and Chalmers, Ltd.
He then spent three years in charge of the Repair Department of Ratcliff Bros., Ltd., Frinton, and from 1910 onwards was proprietor of a garage and general engineering works at Clapton.
He died on 18th July, 1931, at the age of 47.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1925.
