WILLIAM HIPKINS, of Edgbaston, Birmingham, died in April, 1935.

He was probably the oldest ironmaster in the Midlands; he was in his ninety-second year, and had been retired from active business for some years.

He joined the Iron and Steel Institute in 1890.
