WILLIAM JOSEPH PARKYN died at the Hawthorns, Buxton, on March 7, 1923, at the age of seventy-seven.

For fifty years he was connected with the firm of Daniel Adamson & Co., Ltd., of Hyde Junction Engineering Works, Dukinfield, Cheshire, and after the concern was formed into a private limited liability company he became chairman of directors. He was a Justice of the Peace for Cheshire.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1875.
