1946 Wm. Motherwell and Company Limited, 32 Portman Street, Glasgow, was incorporated with capital of £10,000 to carry on business as manufacturers, merchants, and dealers in metal thread screws, bolts, nuts, rivets, tools, implements, machinery, etc.[1]

1984 A receiver was appointed.[2] The company was dissolved in 1988[3]
