1901 The company was registered on 8 June, to acquire a business of tanners and leather merchants and manufacturers of the firm of the same name. [1] The capital of the company was £120,000 and it was intended to carry on business in Stonehaven, Glasgow, and Leicester.[2]

2002 The company, which by now had become Mowat plc, was struck off and dissolved.[3]
