1924 " Terry " weaving is known to have been in existence a number of years, but we cannot state definitely when it first became an acknowledged and established weave. Today it is very largely employed in the production not only of towels but also a variety of articles, such as bath robes and bath gowns, bath mats, face towels, etc., etc. Such a range is shown by WILLIAM R. LEE LTD., of Heywood."[1]
