Apprenticeship with Vauxhall Ironworks Co., Ltd., and Peter Brotherhood, Ltd. Five years as Sea-going Engineer with the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co., Ltd., first class and extra first class Board of Trade Certificates; assistant engineer to Hal Williams and Co, consulting engineers, London. Now Engineer Surveyor to Vulcan Boiler and General Insurance Co., Ltd., Manchester.
