1905 'THE LATE MR. WILLIAM STELL. The late Mr. William Stell, of Steeton, Keighley, retired machine maker, the founder, and formerly partner, in the firm of Messrs. Hall, Ramsden, and Stell, Keighley, whose machinery contributed largely to the development of the worsted spinning industry, left estate of the gross value of £22,596, of which the net personalty has been sworn at £17,111. The testator bequeathed his wife a life annuity of £260, and to his brother, Mr. Northrop Stell, a life annuity of £26, free of duty. All the rest and residue of his estate is left upon trust for his children in equal shares.' [1]
