1912 Constructor at Admiralty in Charge of Design work, superintending the building of ships,

1915 General Manager, Vickers Shipyard, Barrow

1920 Chief Constructor R.C.N.C., and Hon. Commander, R.N.V.R., in Italy, Egypt and Turkey, on Admiralty service. Awarded Officer of the Order of the Crown of Italy, Cons. Naval Arch.
