'William Townsend Dance, late of No. 2, Constantine-street in the borough of Plymouth, in the county of Devon, previously of Ford-park, Mutley Plain, near Plymouth aforesaid, formerly of Saltash in the county of Cornwall, Captain in the Royal Navy, previously thereto of the same place, Captain in the Royal Navy and Civil Engineer, before then of Dawlish, in the said county of Devon, Captain in the Royal Navy and Civil Engineer, and before then of No. 4, South Lambeth-place, Vauxhall, in the county of Surrey, Captain in the Royal Navy.'[1]
