1869 Patent to William Walker, of Newton Heath near Manchester, in the county of Lancaster Mechanical Draughtsman, for the invention of "improvements in expansion slide valve gear for steam and other motive power engines."[1]

1872 Patent to Thomas Williamson, of Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, and William Walker, of Newton Moor, in the county of Chester, who have given notice in respect of the invention of " improvements in the construction of reciprocating steam engines."[2]

1874 Patent to William Walker, of Newton Moor, in the county of Chester, Engineer, for the invention of " improvements in direct-acting steam pumping engines."[3]
