BUTLER, Sir William Waters, Bart., F.C.S., F.R.Met.Soc.; b. at Birmingham, 14th December, 1866; s. of William Butler. Educ.: King Edward's Grammar School.

Entered his father's business, which was eventually amalgamated and became Mitchells and Butlers, Ltd., of which he is chairman and a managing director; chairman Birmingham Cold Storage, Ltd.; member Council, State Management Districts; member of Council, University of Birmingham, and Life Governor: president Institute of Brewing, 1905; chairman Brewers' Society, 1908; m.; one s. (died 19th May, 1935). two d. Club: Union. Address: Southfield, Norfolk Road, Edgbaston.
