1829 Charles and William Wheatstone moved their musical instrument business to 20 Conduit St, London.

By 1830 Charles had developed the musical instrument that was later patented as the Concertina.

1844 Charles gained a patent on the Concertina.

1847 Charles Wheatstone withdrew from the business which became known as William Wheatstone and Co

1866 After William's death, Charles took a more active role in the business which became Wheatstone and Co
