1800 Bankruptcy: Buckley Williams and Joseph Scollick, both of Manchester, machine-makers, Cotton spinners, and Copartners' [1]

1800 Sale Notice: 'To SOLD by AUCTION, By Mr. W. CROSS.
On Wednesday the 14th day May 1800, at the Factory and Shop, late in the possession of Messrs Williams and Scollick, situate in Newton-street, near Shooter's Brook, Ancoat's Lane, in Manchester, in the county of Lancaster ;
A Quantity cotton machinery, of two new wheels 204 spindles each, with double steam geer, and made upon the best construction; three ditto, nearly new, of 206 spindles each, in excellent condition; one ditto, nearly new, of 180 spindles ; one ditto, of 204 spindles; a clock engine, two pair of bellows two anvils, two lathes, machinery tools of various descriptions, a number of vices, three engine frames, writing desk and counter, a quantity of timber, aud many other articles.
The Machinery may be viewed at any time previous the sale, and further particulars may be had by applying to Mr. William Armstrong, upon the premises.'[2]
