1821 Advert: 'To Millers and Others. Wilson and Midworth, the better to accommodate their friends in Newark and the vicinity, have enlarged their Iron and Brass Foundry, and erected a large Metal Lathe, with steam-power and parallel apparatus, to turn Mill Necks, Shafts, Spindles, &c, Malt and other Rollers; and it is constructed also for boring and turning Metal Cylinders of any description with mathematical accuracy.'[1]
