Witney Railway

This was an independent company formed to build the 8 mile line from Yarnton to Witney

1861 November 13th. Opened

1868 Engineer is Charles Douglas Fox.[1]

1873 January 14th. An extension to Fairford bas opened by the East Gloucestershire Railway

1889 Engineer is Sir Charles Douglas Fox.[2]

In 1890 the company was absorbed by the Great Western Railway
