1815 John Wood and Brothers founded by John Wood at Waterloo Mill in Old Glossop. The company went on to become known as Wood Bros. (Glossop) Ltd.

1824 The cotton business moved to Howard Town Mills.

1920 The Wood family sold out, but the name of Wood's Mill remained.

1947 British Industries Fair Advert as Spinners and Weavers. Manufacturers of Cotton and Spun Rayon Fabrics, Ties, Dressing Gowns, etc. (Textiles Section - Earls Court, Ground Floor, Stand No. 281 and 282) [1]
