1883 The Woodside Electric works, a concern of considerable importance, were equipped with good facilities for the manufacture of dynamos, motors, lamps, etc, for both land and ship lighting.

1886 Messrs. Andrews and Co, Woodside Electric Works.[1]

1888 Rankin Kennedy was in charge of the works

The Woodside Electric Works were subsequently demolished to make way for the Kelvin Bridge Station of the Caledonian Railway
