1794 Advert for the sale of 'A Commodious Spinning Factory, large Yard, convenient Counting House, and with or without a good dwelling-Houle adjoining, situated in Lever-street,— in the Factory are a number of Spinning Mules, Carding and Roving Machines, Stretching, Winding and Picking Frames, Batting Frames, and in the Cellar, part of which is occupied by a Smith's shop, an excellent Horse Wheel, with upright shaft, and everything complete thereto. ..... All the premises were lately occupied by Mess. Wright and White, machine-makers. Further particulars may he had applying Mr John Upton, Mr. James Bateman, Mr. John Ford, or D. Pickance, No. 58, King-street.'[1]
