At the AGM, in the absence of the president, [[Walter Arnold|Mr. W. Arnold]] (East Peckham) was voted to the chair. Amongst those present were Messrs. [[J. Allen]] (Oxford), [[Thomas Lake Aveling|T. Aveling]] (Rochester), [[R. W. Eddison]] (Leeds), [[Jesse Ellis]] (Maidstone), [[James Fearnley]] (manager Barnsley British Co-operative Society), [[W . H. Wilcox]] (London), [[W. Morrison]] (St. Peter's), [[T. Danks]] (Netherton, near Dudley), Thompson (Hunts), Wicksteed, Travis (Shropshire), [[H. R. Summers]] (secretary), etc.  Others at the meeting included [[R. Sheard]] and Mr [[Vanderstigen]]<ref>The Autocar 1896/07/04</ref>
