1876 New Grange Foundry was built in 1876 and opened in 1877. The company undertook mainly jobbing work, specialising in ornamental castings.

1919 A Ballantine and Sons was incorporated in 1919 with the registration number SC010292

1897 Death of Archibald Ballantine (Senior) who established the business in 1856. Management passed to his sons Archibald Ballantine (Junior) and David Ballantine.[1]
